Physical Properties Of Raw Materials
The physical properties of raw materials include their gradation composition, moisture content, sediment percentage and grain shape and so on. When there are much fine particles in the raw materials, the production rate of vibrating screen is also large. When the moisture content of raw material is relatively high, generally, the screening efficiency will reduce. But the bigger the mesh size, the moisture has less influence on the screening efficiency. So for raw materials with high moisture content, in order to improve the screening process, we can enlarge the mesh size or adopt wet screening. When the sediment percentage is above 8%, we should adopt wet screening or pre-washing the raw materials.
Production Condition Of Screening Process
The production condition plays very important role in the screening process. When the load of screen is relatively large, the screening efficiency is low. The production rate of vibrating screen, to a great extent, is decided by the mesh size and the total screening efficiency. The larger the mesh size, the lower the screening efficiency, but the higher the production rate.
Besides, evenly feeding also means a lot to the screening process. The dip angle should also be proper.
Specifications And Properties Of Screen Surface
In the work process of vibrating screen, the raw materials and screen surface make vertical motion, so vibrating screen has high screening efficiency and large production rate. For certain raw material, the production rate is decided by the width of screen surface. The wider the screen surface, the larger the production rate. The screening efficiency is decided by the length of screen surface. The longer the screen surface, the higher the screening efficiency. In other words, the larger the effective area, the higher of the production rate and screening efficiency of unit area.
