Bearings In Jaw Crusher

Bearing plays important role in the modern mechanical equipment. Bearing is a component that fixes and reduces the load friction coefficient in the transmission process of machinery. In other words, bearing is used to reduce the friction coefficient in the power transmission process and keep the axis stay in the center. According to the different frictional properties of the moving parts, bearings can be divided into antifriction bearing and sleeve bearing.

Bearings And Their Functions In Jaw Crusher

There are 4 sets of bearings in jaw crusher. Among them, 2 sets of bearings are used to connect eccentric shaft and movable jaw and 2 sets are used to connect eccentric shaft and frame. Bearings between eccentric shaft and movable jaw are generally called movable jaw bearings. They are used to support the movable jaw to swing when the eccentric shaft rotates. Bearings between eccentric shaft and frame are usually called frame bearings. They support the eccentric shaft to rotate.

In the past, medium and large scaled jaw crushers all adopt sleeve bearings casted with Babbitt metal, which can bear relatively large impact load and also abrasion resistant. But the transmission efficiency of these bearings is quite low and need to be forced lubrication. Small scaled jaw crushers generally adopt antifriction bearings with high transmission efficiency. These bearings are convenient to maintain and lubricate, but they cannot bear large impact load.

With the improving of antifriction bearing manufacturing technology, large scaled jaw crushers also adopt antifriction bearings nowadays. And in order to extend the service life and improve the efficiency of bearings, manufacturers should keep on researching and developing them.
