Ball Mill Operating Rules

For a machine, properly operating will help it improve the working efficiency. So does ball mill, there are some operating rules that operators should strictly follow. In this article, we mainly talk about safety operating rules of ball mill.

Working Condition

1.There should be complete safety protection device and oil pressure adjustment device and total flexible and reliable metering device need to be used in the operation process.
2.The lubrication system should be reliable and smooth.
3.The ball loading quantity should be proper and screws of scale board should be tight.
4.There should be dust guard outside the gear and small gear to avoid dust entering ball mill.

Check Before Starting Ball Mill

Sites need to be checked	Checking contents
lubrication system	1,check if the oil in axis pump, oil box and reduction box reach to standard; 2, check if there is any fault in the axis pump.
transmission part	1,check if the screws connecting spare parts loosen; 2, check if the key in poulley and gear loosen.
electrical device	1,check if the buttons of motor and electrical control system are in normal position; 2, check if there is any rocks or sundries in the motor.
feed/discharge opening	1, check if there is damage in the feed/discharge opening; 2, check if there is any over-damage in the feeding spoon.

After checking the above mentioned factors, operators can start ball mill in turn.

Maintenance In The Operation

In the operation process of ball mill, operators should pay attention to the following parts:

1.Check if there is oil leaking in the pipe, bearings of the lubrication system;
2.Check if there is vibration or abnormal sound of parts in the transmission parts. And the temperature of bearings should be below 70℃;
3.Check the vibration condition of the base and check if there is any loosen of the foundation bolts;
4.Check if the main body leaks ore pulp;
5.Pay attention to the change of current and if there is abnormal sound or smell or vibration in the motor.

Attentions

1.Before stopping ball mill, operators should firstly stop feeding ore to the ball mill. After about 15 minutes, stop the classifier.
2.While stopping ball mill, operators mustn’t cut off power with load in ball mill.
3.After stopping the machine, operators should clean the parts that cannot be cleaned while working.
