In the end of 2011, abundant iron ore were found in the north part of Ghana. As we all know, iron ore is the most important material in steel and iron making. So, in this article, we mainly talk about iron ore processing plant in Ghana.
Ghana Iron Ore Beneficiation Line
In 2012, a Ghana customer contacted our company for an iron ore beneficiation line. Getting his inquiry, our sales manager contacted this customer immediately to confirm his requirements. After communication, we learned about the capacity he required, the grade he wanted to reach after beneficiation, the max feed size etc. What’s more, this customer had already got the mining report of this iron ore mine, which greatly saved time for our engineer to design beneficiation line for him.
In this iron ore beneficiation line, there was vibrating feeder, jaw crusher, cone crusher, ball mill, magnetic separator, belt conveyor, vibrating screen, dryer etc. Jaw crusher was primary crusher and cone crusher was the secondary crusher in this line.
Firstly, we can use vibrating feeder to feed the raw iron ore into jaw crusher for coarse crushing. And then transfer the crushed iron ore to the cone crusher for fine crushing. After this, the particles discharged from cone crusher will be sent to the vibrating screen for grading. The particles with required sizes will be sent to ball mill while others will be sent back to the cone crusher for re-crushing. The iron ore particles in the ball mill will be ground into powder and sent to the magnetic separator for beneficiation. Then send the processed ore pulp to the dryer, we can get fine iron.
A little tip: in this iron ore beneficiation line, we suggest the customer to use cone crusher to be used as secondary crusher instead of impact crusher because the iron ore has high hardness. If we use impact crusher, the main crushing parts will damage badly. So if you want to process hard or super hard materials, cone crusher is your proper choice.
