While crushing raw materials, the movable cone in cone crusher moves regularly. Since the barycenter of movable cone and eccentric bushing are not in their rotary center lines, so in the working process, there must produce inertial force and inertia moment, which acts on the frame and cause the vibration of frame and the deflection of eccentric bushing. Even manufacturers take measures while designing cone crusher to reduce or eliminate this phenomenon. But actually, because of various reasons in manufacturing, installation, lubrication etc. there will be instability phenomena of movable cone, which affects the normal working of cone crusher. Contact Condition Of Principal Axis And Taper Bushing
According to the check result of obsolete taper bushings, we found that most of the taper bushings were fractured about 300mm of the bottom side, which means that the principal axis contacts the taper bushing at the bottom side. From the damage of taper bushing and the contact pattern, we can see that in the work process of cone crusher, movable cone or eccentric bushing deflect, which leads to the instability of movable cone. In this case, the contact stress of the bottom side of principal axis and taper bushing is too strong, leads to the damage of taper bushing.
Several Factors Affect The Stability Of Movable Cone
Effect of maintenance quality of spherical bearing on the stability of movable cone. While maintaining the cone crusher, if the spherical contact is not good, then the central angle of spherical bearing will reduce. In this case, the movable cone loses stability and stuck in the taper bushing. In order to ensure the stable working of movable cone and to avoid the spherical surface of movable cone contact the inner side of spherical bearing, we should make sure the reaction force proper.
Other factors lead to the instability of movable cone and too fast speed of cone crusher. Besides the instability caused by improper contact point, improper gap of eccentric parts, dirty lubrication oil or high temperature oil etc. may also cause the instability of movable cone and lead to the too fast speed of cone crusher.
- 1.When there is local contact between principal axis and taper bushing, because the contact area is very small, so the pressure of unit area increases sharply, breaking the lubrication condition and causing instability of movable cone.
- 2.If the gap between principal and taper bushing is too small, because of thermal dilation, the principal axis and taper bushing will collide, and lead to the instability of movable cone.
- 3.If the gap of eccentric parts is too large, the eccentric bushing and principal axis will tilt and cannot form oil film. In this case, the normal lubrication is damaged, and taper bushing will heat, leading to the instability of movable cone.
- 4.If there are impurities in the lubrication oil or the temperature of oil is too high, the viscosity of lubrication oil will decrease. In this case, the friction moment from friction pair on the movable cone will change; this will also lead to the instability of movable cone.
