Steel Balls Quantity Adjustment
Ball mill is one of the most commonly used beneficiation equipment. The steel balls quantity in ball mill not only affects the grinding efficiency and capacity improvement, but also affects the service life of ball mill. In this case, putting proper quantity steel balls into ball mill is a very important step in the production process of ball mill. In this article, we mainly talk about steel balls quantity adjustment to improve ball mill capacity.
Steel Balls Quantity Adjustment
Ball mill capacity is directly related with the steel balls quantity. While working, the efficiency of ball mill generally depends on the total power produced by the movement of every ball. Every steel ball should play its potency, which is why we should avoid collision of steel balls with different moving tracks.
If there are too many steel balls in ball mill, the steel balls will laminate with each other, causing that some steel balls fall without reaching desired height. In this case, the grinding capacity of each steel ball cannot be fully displayed and increasing the energy consumption at the same time. If there are only few steel balls in ball mill, even though every steel ball can fully display its grinding capacity, but the total capacity is still very small. All in all, operators should choose proper steel balls quantity in ball mill to improve the capacity.
According to test results, under same situation, when the filling amount of steel balls takes about 40% of the main body, the capacity is the largest. But in the actual production process, we keep the filling amount of steel balls at about 35%, making the volume of steel balls lower than the horizontal center line. So if customers want to improve the capacity of ball mill, they should adjust the steel balls quantity, making sure they stay in proper degree.
